After 55 minutes of waiting on the terrace, we left because we hadn't even received our drinks yet. It took 25 minutes for our order to be taken and another 30 for someone to come and tell us it was lost. (There were two of us and the establishment, although busy, was not overwhelmed.) I can imagine that an exceptional absence of one or another member of the team could greatly complicate the service. It's understandable. What is less obvious is that a waitress passes twice on the terrace, taking care not to look in our direction as we raise our hands. What is even less so is that the waiter (the oldest) sighs conspicuously and rolls his eyes when we finally manage to point out to him. This attitude is all the more inappropriate when the same waiter, 30 minutes later, is forced to come and pitifully admit to us that he has to take our order back because it got lost somewhere between him and the kitchen. I add that he didn't even say a word of apology. Of course, in the meantime, we had been offered a glass of champagne to keep us waiting... but the person who brought it to us could have just as easily served us the drinks we had ordered, even if it meant quickly asking us again what they were. It seems to me that it would have only taken a few more seconds. This all comes down to poor organization. A group of four people, who arrived around the same time as us, didn't have to wait that long.
