I gave these guys 5 stars because they were really trying on a difficult day. We came in for a late lunch on the 4th of July weekend and they were packed with a couple of large takeout orders as well, and the kitchen seemed to be struggling. The owner mentioned that they were behind and it would take a while to get our food, but we were okay waiting. Later we learned that they had a new cook and she was having some issues and clearly not keeping up with the orders. Overall, the food was good, I would say the portions were on the smaller side. The prices have recently been raised, in some cases quite substantially - for example, the chili relleno was $9 and has gone up to $12.50, a 38% increase, but other things are still at the original, quite low price, like an enchilada for $3.50. We did wait quite a while for our food, but the owner kept us informed. I did empty my original canned soda and ordered another which they did not charge me for, similarly I asked for a side of beans which they also gave me for free. All told, I think this is the best Mexican food around, and were it not for them having new kitchen staff, it would have been a really nice lunch. As it was, the fact that they were so up front about the challenges and gave us a couple of freebees to make up for it made for a satisfying meal. I'd go back here for sure. I've driven through Point Arena many times, but there's never been a reason for me to stop. There is now! My Mexican Restaurant is the best!! You're treated like family, the food tastes great, and the portions are good. I can't wait to go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
