I had a very disappointing experience at McHenry Poke Bowl. The employee with blonde hair who helped me was unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome from the moment I walked in. It was my first time visiting, and when I asked questions about the menu, she barely explained anything and acted like I was bothering her instead of helping me choose my meal. The way I was treated made me feel singled out, and I left with the impression that I was being treated differently because of my race. I can't say for certain what her intentions were, but that's genuinely how the interaction made me feel. Customer service should make everyone feel welcome, especially first-time customers, and unfortunately that wasn't my experience. I hope management takes customer service more seriously so future guests are treated with respect and patience. Meal type: Brunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Wandered in here during a quiet Saturday afternoon and ended up with one of those properly lovely meals you don't see coming. The place was warm and welcoming the moment we walked in, our table was lovely, and our server was a complete delight throughout the afternoon. The food was honestly excellent — proper portions, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and presented without being precious. We worked through a starter to share, mains each, and a dessert we shared at the end because we couldn't resist. The pace was perfect and the atmosphere stayed warm and unhurried throughout. The bill at the end was very fair. Going back deliberately next weekend. Genuinely impressive place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
