So she works at the patisserie and doesn’t know nor she can be bothered to go find out and at least try to show she cares.
After that I am still ordering more coffee and another muffin she continued to give me the same attitude which made me so uncomfortable. Keep in mind that I was there to pay for coffee and muffins, it was not going to be free so I it is my right to feel welcomed, respected and to be treated with kindness in return.
Unfortunately that wasn’t the only bad experience that I had in one day with Poles staff, the barista girl was even worse. I was insisting my brother that I want to pay and he wanted to pay by cash, so I put my card on top of their EFTPOST, she yelled at me “don’t break the machine it’s expensive”. Mind you this is on Friday around 11:30 which is usually is the busier time of the day and other people are lining up behind me and are witnessing this incident. So anyone reading this can predicate how this girl made me feel front of others. I don’t appreciate to be yelled at after paying to get a service. She is not my boss, mother or anyone else hi had the right to treat me in that manner.
I did contact the manager and did wait outside of the cake section but unfortunately I didn’t get any resolution regarding this unpleasant and embarrassing situation that I experienced today.
Even though the quality of coffee and everything that is being sold at Poles is fantastic and I can give 5 starts, I have to be honest and rate their customer service 0.
The young girls who are desperate to work, they need to be selected carefully and get a proper training in customer service. If they have no patience to be there to serve customers who they need to remember that it’s us who are responsible for their wages, maybe they need a career change!?.
I usually don’t spend time in writing a review, but today this experience really deeply affected me.
