Don't eat the buffet dinner here. It's $65pp and the food is either too bland or too salty. Also they clear your table as soon as you stand up to collect more food, which meant that they cleared plates I wasn't done with and also cleared my half finished drink and water when I went to get dessert. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$60–80

Bad Food in a Very Nice Hotel I feel like I have to leave this review to warn future hotel guests about the caliber of food being served at “Pool Terrace Restaurant”, as it is the main dinner dining option of the reef view hotel. We visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner at ~8:30 PM. Please do better and make improvements. The quality of the dishes served was overall poor, improperly cooked, confusing, and poorly prepared. The Prawn Linguine had overcooked and tough prawns, with some still including their shell pieces. The Salmon and Soba Noodle Thai Salad was confusing, as it was topped with large bushels of raw mint and parsley, still on the stem, and neither of these are even mentioned on the menu description. The Pork Cutlet was the best of the three dishes we tried, but was a bit overcooked. The Island Paradise cocktail was poorly balanced, with too much citrus / sour. Lastly, the water which we were initially served tasted acidic, almost like sparkling water which went completely flat, when we had asked for still. Aside from the bad food quality, the presentation of the dishes was nice, and we did not have many complaints about the staff, aside from the service appearing to be very rushed / curt, and having to wait at the hostess stand for a while to be seated / talk to anyone.
