Best scallop pie I had in tas, not overly creamy and rich like most others. Cheap too

Very unimpressed. I am a Hobart resident. on a recent mid winter escape to the Freycient region, we drove to Bicheno to look at land sales. stopped for lunch at " PORKS PLACE " for fish and chips for lunch. - big mistake - entering the café we found it to be very run down looked grubby ? decided we would get take away instead of dining at the tables. went to the drinks fridge to select a drink, noticed that some of the milk based products were out of date. should have listened to my gut feeling then and walked out, but didn't. Ordered two pieces of " Flake " and chips and a Scallop pie. back in the car down to the foreshore to enjoy our lunch, one bite of the fish and in the bin for the lot !!!! - obviously not flake ( gummy or school shark - I know, I used to catch it professionally for a living ) some sort of defrosted Trawl fish, and in uneatable condition ABSOLUTELY DISCUSTING !!! - OLD AND OFF. Scallop pie one bite - same - frozen defrosted and heated in the micro wave, same result in the bin. found this experience very odd, seaside fishing town and local fish and chips rubbish frozen fish, this kind of thing really damages our seafood reputation which so many fishermen and good retailers and restaurants work so hard at catching and presenting a premium quality product.
