The best about this place is the atmosphere, followed by food and then the service. They were nice to get us a table as we walked in. They all were very rushing to have time to take order or ask what we want. Could be due to the busyness that day. Surprisingly most of the items that could be made vegan or vegetarian (without fish sauce) were not available. Like Tom yum soup or papaya salad. That left us to few items only. Like green or red curry. The pad krapow was good. The pad thai was not as good and it was a bit bland. Their spicy sauce wasn't spicy enough! The atmosphere was very good with people having fun and loud conversations. Munibly gripe was the bin availability of many vegetarian options. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

This dining spot is a must visit. The atmosphere is insanely strikes perfect balance of inviting and intimate. You go in and there’s never a wait, it’s a space where you hold convo without loud acoustics. The service is incredible, you can walk and settle in no wait time. The food is incredibly authentic and unique, blending Thai dishes with Chinese techniques. Each dish has a balance of bold, complex flavors that reminds me of Thailand. The chive cake pairs perfectly with Thai ice tea, while the crab egg fried rice is rich and creamy that goes perfectly with the pandan desert. The combo of flavors in khao soi is rich and coconuty, making the dish super filling and satisfying. I highly recommend planning your next visit to this place in your next Berkeley trip. Absolutely loved Praaw Thai in Berkeley! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was cozy, and the owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We’re both from Northern Thailand, so chatting with them honestly felt like being back home Highly recommend if you want authentic Thai food and warm hospitality! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
