Visited Puffelly on a Saturday evening with my partner and mother, and overall it was a decent experience with some real highlights. The atmosphere was great - lively music gave the place a fun, upbeat vibe, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Despite what seemed like a busy service with plenty of customers coming and going, our food arrived in around 15-20 minutes, which was impressive. Between the three of us we ordered the Forest Burger meal, the Southern Fried Chicken 5-piece meal, and the Grilled Chicken Quarter meal. The fries were a standout - beautifully cooked and an incredibly generous portion (almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s hardly a complaint!). The Forest Burger itself was a solid half-pounder, though the bacon was a touch on the salty side for my personal taste. The Southern Fried Chicken was lovely and moist, though the herby flavour in the breading wasn’t quite our thing - that said, if you’re a fan of bold herby seasoning, you’ll probably love it! The grilled chicken was also nicely cooked and moist, though carried a little more lemon flavouring than we personally preferred - again, for lemon lovers this could be a real winner. The menu is extensive, which is great for groups with varied tastes and will no doubt appeal to a wide range of people. All in all, a really pleasant evening out. The service and atmosphere are genuinely lovely, and any flavour preferences mentioned are purely down to our own tastes - others will likely find the food absolutely spot on.
