Leah was quick and very polite while I was in a rush on my way too work only had 4-5 minutes too get a coffee and try find my train, she directed me too the right platform. Very grateful Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Visited with a friend between two railway journeys with a large layover. Received quick and courteous service for our multiple orders courtesy of Leah who allowed us to stay for as long as we pleased. Meal type: Other Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

Today my daughter and I visited the Starbucks branch near Colchester Institute, and unfortunately the experience was deeply unpleasant and highly disappointing from start to finish. We ordered two baby chinos, something we regularly get alongside other drinks we purchase from Starbucks. From the moment we approached the counter, both members of staff at the front appeared cold, visibly irritated, and entirely unwelcoming. One staff member in particular responded rather dismissively when I asked about the price of bottles, simply stating, “At the bottom,” in a tone that came across as abrupt and discourteous. What was most concerning, however, was the quality of the baby chinos we were given. The cups were almost entirely filled with froth, with barely any milk underneath, leaving them effectively empty. When I politely pointed this out, I was met with the response, “Well, they’re baby chinos. That’s what they are.” To put it into perspective, we ended up pouring the contents of one cup into the other, and even then it still did not manage to fill a single cup properly. The drinks consisted almost entirely of foam with very little actual milk. I fully appreciate that baby chinos are complimentary, but that should not result in customers being made to feel like an inconvenience for requesting them. Complimentary items should still be prepared with a basic level of care and professionalism. If staff are unhappy serving them because they are free, then perhaps Starbucks should reconsider offering them altogether rather than leaving customers feeling unwelcome and undervalued. In the end, the drinks were undrinkable and went straight in the bin. We left feeling uncomfortable, dismissed, and genuinely disappointed by the overall lack of warmth, professionalism, and customer care displayed during our visit. This is certainly not the standard of service I would expect from Starbucks. Meal type: Other Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
