Came from KL for work and have been travelling around Kedah and Penang for the past week. Tried quite a number of restaurants, and honestly, I didn’t have much expectation anymore — but this place completely changed that. After so long, it truly felt like having a proper home-cooked meal. The food was comforting, flavourful, and satisfying. The place is very clean and the service was good too. We ordered 2 banana leaf sets unlimited rice (with 3 vegetables, tau sambal, and pickle), added tau kicap, along with mooru ice and sirap bandung. The sirap bandung was really goodddd! ( We even took another one for the ride back to KL). The mooru ice, however, was average for me, a bit too heavy on spices, though I think elderly people might enjoy it more. All of this for just RM30, which is very reasonable for the quality and portion. Easily the best meal I’ve had throughout this trip. Will surely come back again when I’m in Lunas. Food was excellent, felt like home cooked. Had vegetarian dish and will definitely come again to try the non-veg dishes. Place is clean too. Price is above average compared to other restaurants, owner should review and revise the prices from time to time, everything otherwise is just nice. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are available.
