A fabulous building to drop in for the interesting exhibitions, the grand staircase, sit down and have a coffee or a beer, all meticulously served. There is a good vibe to the place, the architecture is impressive and solid, a safe place

Spectacular building inside and out, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) was designed by Grey Wornum (1888-1957). The building is reminiscent of the Stockholm Public Library by Gunnar Asplund (1885-1940) in a subdued neoclassical style (and Art Deco on the inside). Great library and wonderful architecture bookstore. Currently closed for renovation but hopefully reopened soon.
