Thank you for your lovely review and for your kind comments about our café. We're really pleased you enjoyed your breakfast and found us to be a good stop for walkers and cyclists.We completely understand your disappointment about not being able to charge devices, and we appreciate the opportunity to explain why.Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer customer charging facilities for several reasons. The only available socket in our customer area is located next to our fire exit, and in the past charging cables have been run across the doorway. As this is also the access route to our storeroom, our team frequently needs to use this door throughout the day, creating both a safety and trip hazard.In addition, following the fire at Glasgow Central Station, South Western Railway and our landlords introduced much stricter safety requirements. We are now only permitted to have PAT-tested equipment plugged into our electrical outlets, which means we cannot allow customer devices to be connected.Finally, as we have just 20 indoor seats, we have to make the best use of our limited space. We have previously experienced situations where customers have occupied tables for several hours while charging devices, particularly when trains have been delayed or cancelled, after purchasing only a single drink. This unfortunately prevents other customers from finding a table during our busiest periods.We hope you understand that these measures are in place for safety and to ensure we can continue to provide the best possible service to all of our customers.
