Highly Recommended! A Warm, Authentic Taste of Japan in Rennes. I stumbled upon this wonderful Japanese restaurant called Ramen Ya in Rennes today, and it was an absolute delight! When you’re traveling abroad and the weather gets a bit chilly, there is nothing you crave more than a steaming hot bowl of noodles. The Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Ramen here was exceptional—rich, flavorful, and packed with authentic Japanese soul. Even though I was sitting right in the heart of Rennes, France, taking that first bite honestly made me feel like I had been instantly transported to Japan. It was pure comfort food. To make the experience even better, the staff here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of hospitality. I ordered a portion of 6 gyoza, and the lovely staff surprised me by serving 8 pieces instead, saying they wanted to give me two extra! That kind of unexpected generosity and warmth really made my day. Between the delicious food and the heartwarming service, Ramen Ya completely won me over. If you ever find yourself traveling through Rennes, I highly recommend stopping by for a bowl. It’s an absolute must-visit! You can copy and paste this straight onto Google Maps or Tripadvisor.
