Had the seafood appetizer with raw oysters & salmon, stomach was upset shortly after we left, threw up later that evening in our hotel room, had to fly out the next day in a sick stomach my husband's stomach was upset a well all night, didn't throw up, but didn't feel good. Could not eat breakfast before flight either. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Our team follows strict food handling and sanitation protocols, and our raw seafood is delivered fresh and prepared daily according to all health and safety guidelines. While we're truly sorry to hear about your illness, it's also worth noting that foodborne illness symptoms typically do not appear immediately after eating and can often be linked to foods consumed hours, or even days, earlier.

We went for a engagement party lastnight. The severs were great. Extremely prompt and very knowledgeable. Larger party’s can often be a tricky situation, but they handled it with ease. I had the best experience ever here and I’ve eaten and many great restaurants here in Rochester and all over !! Price per person: $70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very disappointing experience. I was calling to place a to-go order at Rare 3001 in Rochester. After calling several times, someone finally answered — her name was Shelby. We asked about the “Chef’s Cut of the Day” listed on the online menu, and she didn’t seem to know what we were referring to. When we tried to clarify, she hung up on us. At first, I thought we were disconnected, but after calling back four more times, I realized we were being ignored. When she eventually answered again, I mentioned that we thought we got disconnected, and she just laughed. She said she was busy with other customers and put us on hold — while we could hear her being rude to people in person, telling them to “just book online if they want to eat.” She then picked the phone back up and laughed again, so we hung up. Very strange experience. When they first opened, I used to go weekly, but now I remember why I stopped going in the first place. Horrible customer service — truly disappointing for a place that used to be great.
