I mean, don't get me wrong. The service was friendly and totally nailed it. The happy beef arroz caldo bowl, sago at gulaman, and french fries are the high marks in my book.
I was so looking forward to the Ginataan but it was a letdown. I mean, it was fine but was lacking that rich, coconut(ty) taste. The Lechon Kawali, although crispy, was very bland. I ended up putting a lot of sauce to help elevate its taste.
The food here is okay but altogether not a big fireworks show of flavour for me. I'll give it some more chances, perhaps trying more rice in a bowl meals in the future.

Various classic toppings crown a generous serving of white or brown rice. Calamansi Juice (99 PHP) is good for 2 people and freshly squeezed for natural goodness. Happy Beef Rice [Reg] (160 PHP) a pleasant topping that brought a smile to my face, every bite is satisfyingly good paired with spoonfuls of rice.
