The place is comfortable for family time, and the food is delicious too. But yesterday the service was a bit slow. Besides that, the waiter didn't explain in detail what we ordered, so we were suddenly brought 2 baskets of rice. Where we thought it was part of our order, but it turned out to be an additional basket of rice. Fortunately, when paying, it wasn't charged by the cashier. Maybe it can be an improvement for the future, the orders written should be repeated clearly. Came here to try the sate rembiga and sate pusut. It took a bit longer than expected for the food to arrive at our table. The taste of both of these was quite good. The beef skewers were small, but the meat was very tender and flavor was nice. The sate pusut was also good, however there was a long strand of hair cooked inside of it. This didn’t bother me too much personally as we are all human, but when we mentioned it to the staff, they didn’t seem to care at all and just told me what I owed. I didn’t expect anything for free or something, but just some acknowledgment or apology would have been nice. We were also not provided any napkins/tissues at our table. The table itself is wooden with a plastic cover over it to appear as wood, maybe for easier cleaning, but the plastic covers were filthy. Usually don’t like to rate places based on these things, but when there is a better option right around the corner, I think I need to be fair and helpful to people who want to try these dishes. The sate rembiga at Hj Sinnaseh around the corner isn’t as tender, but is a bit more spicy and more flavorful. Sate pusut at that location is also much spicier and more flavorful. The service there is also much better and the food was served very quickly as opposed to the long wait it took here. While the seating might not be as aesthetically pleasing, I prefer the overall experience around the corner. Maybe try both and see what you think.
