Came to rice box about an hour before close, our server came and got our drink and food orders and was very polite. While waiting for our food to be cooked a few other people and online orders came in. During this time we got to listen to who I assume is the owner yelling at our server in the kitchen asking them questions like “can you even read?” The owner/manager continued yelling at the server to the point where the server was almost in tears over the interactions and kept apologizing to us any time we asked for anything. The server was wonderful zero issues with her, the food was good but listening to the server being belittled ruined the atmosphere and us wanting to eat here. We have been coming here for years and likely won’t come back due to this. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

The owner/manager is rude and treats her employees like garbage. I came to have dinner with my friend this evening. Our server went to the kitchen and you can hear from the table the manager screaming at our server, making comments such as can they even read. This caused our server to be brought to tears and apologized to us multiple times. This created an uncomfortable environment and made us finish our dinner in silence. My friend and I have been coming here for years and will not support this place if they can’t treat their employees with dignity, value, and respect. I am absolutely floored and disgusted. Dear Brooke, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort you and your friend felt and are deeply concerned about what you described. Your feedback is important, and we will be addressing this matter seriously. And it sounds like screaming, because the hood fan is running, she must talk louder, they could hear each other. In fact , the manager is nice to the employee, give them free food, paid for their mistake, that's why they are still working here. But the rice box will stop her to be a manager until she is more patient and nicely to the employee.
