We were there tonight for the prime rib special. The meat was ample portion cooked to perfection, the homemade yorkshire pudding was delicious, the stuffed baked potato was hot and the peas were fresh. A picture would not do the meal justice. The staff were attentive and friendly, almost treated us like family. We even spent time talking with the chef/owner who is a lifetime resident of the area and very pleasant. They said they had been there about seven years. It is definitely time the word gets out so they will get busier. The slump in the oil production has hurt their business with fewer crews coming in. Richard's Family Restaurant, in the Best Western Hotel in Rimbey, could be one of the gems hiding in Central Alberta.
