My friends and I visited the River Rouge Kitchen & Bar on Sunday, August 31st to celebrate a birthday. As I entered the lobby of The Baton Rouge Marriott I was in awe of the beauty and splendor of the lobby and River Rouge. The decor is very tasteful and exquisite. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. We started out at the bar and was promptly greeted by Josh Parker. I have dined out at numerous places but I have to say that Josh Parker is #1 in customer service. Josh is knowledgeable of the drinks and food menu, he is patient, very mature, kind and he genuinely cares about his customers needs. I ordered the seafood platter and my food wasn't tasteful, the shrimp had a rancid fishy taste, the fish and oysters were tasteless. My food was subpar. But the appetizer were delicious, we got the Boudin Egg Rolls, which was great choice. The customer service Josh provided made than compensated my dissatisfaction with my food. Josh's customer service skills are absolutely phenomenal! I appreciate his kindness and the way he respected and honored our group. He even took pictures of us.
