The overall experience was mediocre at best. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out. The atmosphere was just okay. The floor was being mopped two hours before closing with a solution that left it slick with grease. Employees were busy cleaning and cooking, and it was not clear how to start the ordering process. Eventually, someone in the back told me to use the screens to my left. After placing my order, I had to call out to the cook to swap my ranch for blue cheese, since the ordering screens did not appear to allow substitutions or special requests. The food came out quickly. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich (mild heat) with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and rooster sauce, along with fries and a cookies and cream milkshake. I also added an order of bone-in wings (medium heat) to try them. The wings were already quite hot for me, so I would not recommend going higher if you prefer something closer to Tabasco-level heat. The wings were the best item I had, followed by the fries. The sandwich was just okay. The milkshake was good. Nothing about the meal made me feel the need to return, but I would be fine eating here again if someone else suggested it. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Ate there a few times at Nats Park, this was my first trip to the Chantilly location. Great service, clean seating area, and good Lord, the best Chicken Sandwich I ever had. Opinions will differ and to each their own but to me, the best. Keep up the good work! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was in the mood for some Nashville Hot Chicken and decided to try Roaming Rooster. I went in at about 6PM and the place was dead. I put in two orders, one for some tenders and one for a sandwich. The tenders I ordered medium and the sandwich I asked for Extra Hot. It took them 20 minutes to make my order despite being the only customer. We took our order home and the allegedly "Extra Hot" was no different whatsoever from the medium hot tenders. The food was decent, but they charge a ridiculous premium ($30 for a sandwich, 3 tenders, and a fry) over places like Chick Fil A, so I would expect something authentic. The spice and flavor profile of the food was bland and not at all what I'd consider spicy. Clearly the people preparing the food paid zero attention to me wanting it extra hot, and it still took them 20 minutes to make it? Won't be going back.
