The barbeque here is next level! I'm Glad we've tried it! The place was so inviting. Went here for my hubby's birthday on a weekday and it was not busy. The place was clean and we were seated right away. They have an excellent service! Isa took care of us and made sure we got our orders correctly. We picked the AYCE Premium so we can have the full Japanese bbq experience! For $75, it's worth the price! You cannot have any bbq as good as this elsewhere. They have good appetizer, sides and high quality meats. The A5 japanese wagyu is the best! Every bite melted in my mouth! My next favorite was the Beef Tongue and short rib. We also ordered a sake and it's definitely great to pair with all the meats. For desserts, we had the Yuzu cheesecake and mochi assortment and they were perfect!

My 3rd visit here and its the best so far!! Everything is so fresh and tasty. I tried the Tofu for the first time and its to die for! Service is excellent as usual.

My top gripe is that they operated on bad form. Took a while to find this business on Yelp considering my card bill lists this place as Han BBQ *and* as Roku Japanese BBQ. It was a cold night Feb. 11th with one heat stand going outside for those queued to get in. My friend checked us in via some platform with a 20 minute wait pending. We arrived hungry, but tide-over by some snacking we did at the apartment. The wait increased during our short drive and was becoming increasingly inaccurate upon our early arrival. A party ahead of us decided to dip so it was like that. I and my two friends were next according to a guy coordinating seating. FoH staff, including a floater guy, was notified about this then the coordinator removed us from the list of those waiting. What did floater do? Seat the people following us instead of seating us. This was discovered promptly, yet the coordinator decided to let it slide and approached us with an apology that the wait will be an additional 15 minutes (it was 35) and an appetizer will be comped. I put our total wait close to 90 minutes. The food was underwhelming and the shockingly sad standout was the Hokkaido scallop /w wasabi ponzu sauce. There was the sweetness of the hokkaido, the citrus of the ponzu, the bitterness of the wasabi and the floral of the olive oil. It tasted like Italian, but it didn't belong to the point that it was like "what were they thinking?" Unfortunately we had ordered two (one was going to be my entree and the other was an app) and they arrived at the same time. Server Jake(?) and other wait staff were on the ball. Not enough to offset the seating mismanagement though. That comped app? They gave a $7.00 deduction off the $180+ bill instead. For a 1 1/2 hour wait, food that was alright (and in some regards bad), and being misinformed about the comp, it wasn't worth it. I just paid my card bill and was reminded about this disappointing, pricey dinner. Here I am posting this. Do with it what you will.
