Very disappointing experience, especially for a ~$600 bill. There were a couple of positives — the gentleman who greeted us was welcoming, and Alana was polite and friendly. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. The tuna crudo was acceptable but nothing to rave about. The burrata ($30) was tiny, the broccolini was watery, and the Wagyu beef ragu was underwhelming, with amounts of unrendered fat. General service was extremely poor. Drinks and food were consistently delayed throughout the night. Our initial drinks order arrived incomplete (two drinks missing) and this wasn’t addressed until ~25 minutes later after we followed up at same time Alana came to apologise that she had forgotten to enter them. (We do thank her for her honesty) We repeatedly had to chase drinks, and at times could see them sitting at the bar for long periods before being brought over. We requested food to be served together or as it was ready, but it was instead split into courses without any consultation. The Blue Orchid cocktail was overly sweet and tasted artificial — I had to add lemonade just to make it drinkable. Two glasses of red wine also contained significant sediment, which at this price point should have been avoided with proper decanting. We were also surprised to be charged for additional fries with the mussels, as the promotion advertises “bottomless mussels” served alongside fries, which reasonably suggests they’re included. To top it off, after chasing service all evening, being presented with an EFTPOS machine prompting for a tip felt quite presumptuous. Overall, poor service management, underwhelming food, and a lack of attention to detail made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. Rossi is a great spot for a relaxed but lively Italian dinner in Prahran. Went on a Monday night for the $35 unlimited mussels deal, which is amazing value and definitely worth trying if you’re a mussel fan. We sat outside in the back area, which has a really nice atmosphere, cosy, a bit tucked away, and perfect for a more relaxed catch up. The first couple of rounds of mussels did take close to an hour to come out, but once they started flowing, the experience picked up and the food itself was really enjoyable. Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Great spot with well-priced and delicious food. The staff were friendly, funny, and very attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect with great background music. It’s a great place for a romantic date, a girls’ night like we had, or even a larger group dinner. Highly recommend!
