Ordered the carbonate and the Bolognese and they were both excellent. The restaurant was lively too and the owner is really nice. I do recommend Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

January 7, 2020 French restaurant "Rouge Roppongi" opened on January 6th in the back alley of Roppongi 4-chome. During lunch time from 11:00 to 15:00 on weekdays, one-plate French dishes such as ``Croque Monsieur,'' ``Cordon Bleu (French-style cutlet),'' and ``Confit'' are available for 1,000 yen including tax. “Confit” 1,000 yen Bone-in chicken thigh confit, salad, and garni (side dish) are served on one plate that looks great on social media. The confit was covered in balsamic sauce, and although it didn't taste bad, it was on the small side, and lacked the moist, fluffy texture that confit has. For lunch the day before, I ate a moist, fluffy high-quality confit at DiDi Grande, a new restaurant in Azabu Juban, so when I compared it there, it wasn't as good in quality or quantity. According to the flyer, the garni is liver pate, but the one served is ratatouille, which I don't like... There's also no rice or bread... Order hot tea after your meal. It's a small cup, but it's delicious. The spirit of offering one plate French for 1,000 yen including tax is admirable, but The volume was not enough for a meal, and I seriously thought about going to another restaurant after this. If you want to stick to the price of 1,000 yen (including tax), it would probably be more satisfying to go without a drink and make the main dish that much stronger, or to add rice or bread.
