I ordered over the phone to pick up my food. I went to pick up the food and the person behind the register goes what no tip. Not coming back here again poor service. ALL YOU DID WAS ANSWER THE PHONE AND TOOK THE ORDER. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I was visiting the are from Chicago, and I stopped in the morning on Saturday. I sat myself at the bar. There were two waitresses, both of them pleasant. I ordered a coffee and pancakes. I have eaten a lot of pancakes in my life, but I can honestly say I have never eaten pancakes as good as this little place. They were hands-down without question the best pancakes I've ever had. Full stop. I would recommend them to my mother, my aunt, my lawyer, my accountant, anyone that enjoys eating should eady these pancakes. Theyre exceptional. I almost wish the waitress had warned me that I was about to have a life-changing experience. Eating those pancakes was for me like when Dorothy steps out of the house into color in The Wizard of Oz. For a few brief minutes, I forgot about all the troubles and worries we face in this world because I was overwhelmed with a sense of syrup-laden joy. All seemed right with the world. It was a coffee-fueled spiritual awakening for $8. I will be telling my children's children about these pancakes, and I hope they pass it down for generations to come. I look forward to the next 5 and a half hour train ride just to get another plate of these pancakes. Breakfast excellence bar none. I hope the wait staff and cooks have a beautiful day. My husband and I stopped in for lunch on 4/13/2025 and this was not our first time visiting, but it will be our last! Only walk through the front door if you have 40 to 90 minutes between ordering and leaving. The service is so slow. There were only three other occupied tables when we got there, one of them leaving, one of them eating, and the other had just sat down and it still took us all of 40+ minutes between being seated and finishing our food. And let’s talk about the food We both ordered smash burgers, which were extremely tiny, the size of a hockey puck at best, just as hard and just as dry! also not served on a brioche bun as advertised, and the bun was lacking even butter. Toasted to complete hardness. The bacon strips, although advertised from the next-door meat market were nothing but fatty chunks plopped on top. Extremely disappointed with the entire experience, and that was before we got the $40 bill for two people! Absolutely outrageous and it’s been like this the other two times we stopped in. I always give a restaurant three opportunities and now I can say with all finality we will not be back. So sad to see in a small town when the possibilities and potential are literally endless.
