*EDIT* Since seeing the OBVIOUS, FAKE 5 star reviews, most of them notably praising "Shayla is the best!", I want to alert potential customers to note this in their observance of the overall rating. I REALLY wanted this to be a good experience, and I tried to find the silver lining in this restaurant but all I could find was a soggy French fry. It was a Sunday lunch excursion with my sister and our 3 tween children. We wanted a decent, affordable place to fill our appetite. In the past, I've always had very good experiences with Ruby Tuesday. A "special treat" place, a predictable place of good quality and service. What we experienced was the opposite of all of that. I should have believed the negative reviews (4.0 overall at the time of checking). The bad reviews were no exaggeration. We entered and immediately could see and smell the decay of what was once a fine, modern, "go-to" kind of eatery (with what used to be all of the fancy comfort foods you could dream of, all set in a clean, fancy setting with professional waitstaff). It was Sunday at about 12:30, a predictable time to expect church and traveler parties alike. This is right off I10 and I suspect many customers are just passing through. After 5 minutes, not one employee greeted us or even acknowledged our presence. There were several who walked by, surely noticing. The 3 adult and 3 kids eagerly awaiting a table. Eventually we were awkwardly seated at a run-down booth with holes in the seats large enough to swallow a toddler. Tables and carpet were very old and dirty--in fact, the whole restaurant was decrepit and long overdue for a remodel, or at least vast maintenance! It was obvious that management and ownership did not care about any of that. But we were hungry and didn't feel like shopping around so we went forward. It didn't get any better. It took a while before our orders came out. The problems we had were too numerous to list here, and honestly at this point doesn't matter since even having half of them would be completely unacceptable. Plates arrived finally, 2 at a time, about 5 minutes between each set. The final two of us had already watched the first two consume half their meal! They forgot condiments, nothing looked right, portions were off, fries were soggy and not hot, cole slaw was warm and mushy, burgers weren't made right and no one enjoyed their meal. There literally was not one positive thing to say about it all. It was edible and the waitress was nice. That doesn't really make up for all the negatives does it? Just take my word for it and don't go. The owners won't mind either way. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
