Not only should Swindon museum and art gallery be visited, but also Rustico. You will be provided Italian cuisine here. The great pizza, good pasta and fine lasagna will impress you at the first bite. Visit this restaurant to try the excellent meat. It is nice to try the good white wine. A lot of visitors have noticed that the staff is friendly at this place. In accordance with the visitors' opinions, the price is decent. On Trip, Rustico has a lot of user reviews and a 4.00 star rating, which speaks for the popularity of the place.

I ordered from Rustico for the first time in 2013 and wrote this 'Just devoured an epic takeaway from Rustico , definitely best takeaway in town, great flavours, great service, could not fault it and finally some excellent food which can be delivered in my town. #good times', I ordered last night and it couldn't be far from the truth. I ordered the same dish as I had originally (Mushroom risotto) and Salmon Linguine, I ordered around 6.15pm...and the food was supposed to arrive in 45 mins, more like an order. It arrived with some of the salmon dish spilt due to the weight of the risotto on top so there was creamy tomato sauce everywhere. I served this and and opened the risotto which I'd been really looking forward to as the first time I'd eaten it was really saucy, full of flavour and rosemary, just delicious. I opened this to absolute horror to see only what could be described as white sludge with a few mushrooms, a few chopped onions and zero rosemary and sauce. I was so disappointed at this point and decided to take a taste, it was bland, unseasoned and dry, just awful. I called up restaurant and was told I would be sent another, to which I thought (another 45 minute wait) and actually didn't want the same dish if that could be sent out so I ordered rigatoni with mushroom, white wine, parsley cream sauce. I had also ordered deep friend mozzarella for a starer to share which again was not good, a slab of mozzarella deep friend in a cheap unseasoned batter and was not good. I waited and waited and waited.... whilst my daughter eat the other dish which was ok... She had finished, half uneaten and the starter half uneaten as neither of us enjoyed...only for me to call up after waiting an hr at this point for my meal. I was told it was on its way with a quick a apology. When it finally arrived, I opened it up as again it consisted of literally 3 ingredients, rigatoni, mushrooms and cream. It had zero other ingredients, it was bland, poorly put together and I was so angry and cross by this point and just aghast how this could be deemed good food. I could have put that together myself in 10 minutes and saved myself the money and bother. The bill was over £28.00 but I'd at least used a discount so just under £22.00 but if I had eaten in the restaurant I would have sent back and not paid for the meal, it was truly awful, poor customer service and just a huge disappointment all round.... 2 hrs of waiting and really nothing to eat. I definitely would not be eating here ever again and certainly not recommending it unlike my first visit.
