Ryan is a refined soba restaurant located in Shibuya. Since the area is very crowded and the restaurant is popular, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The restaurant has an open kitchen, so you can enjoy watching the careful preparation while dining. The staff were very attentive and served each dish with great care, which made the meal feel even more special. The soba was excellent, and the sobayu, the warm water used to cook the noodles, is definitely worth trying at the end. The monaka I had for dessert was also truly delicious. Overall, it was a very satisfying and memorable soba experience in Shibuya. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I ordered the 8-course set dinner, and it was nothing short of spectacular—every single plate was a deliberate, delicious work of art. I order the sake flight. It's meticulously curated for the current season, perfectly paired to elevate the dish in front of you. Honestly, it turned a great meal into an unforgettable one. They also have a 8-spirit pairing of beers, wines, and sakes that looks very attractive — I will try that next time. Most seating is along a sleek bar counter, which I actually loved. It's intimate, modern, and undeniably upscale—but without being stuffy. What really sets Ryan apart is its fearless blend of high-end Japanese fine dining, traditional soba (made fresh in-house), and a sophisticated wine bar atmosphere. Three completely different identities, yet they flow together seamlessly. The soba course, in particular, was a showstopper—noodles with that perfect chew, served in a broth that tasted like it had been simmering for days. Great restaurant in the heart of Shibuya, that still feels quiet and calm. Our server was Miwa and she was incredibly helpful and spoke great English, she went out of her way to be helpful. The food and service was impeccable, we had the Cedar tasting menu. The highlights were Sashimi, Tempura Squid, Chicken salad and matcha cheesecake. Would 100% recommend to anyone travelling through Tokyo. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
