We arrived at 11:30, just ahead of the rush, and snagged a table before the crowds descended. The kitchen moved fast: our Stir-fried Egg with Pork and Wood Ear Mushroom Set (豚肉ときくらげの玉子焼き炒め定食) landed on the table within minutes. It was satisfying—hot, savory, with the slippery crunch of wood ear mushrooms, and fluffy eggs cradling tender pork. Nothing revelatory, but solid comfort food. Service was efficient, though noticeably more direct than typical Japanese hospitality. It’s likely a cultural nuance rather than rudeness, but something to note for first-timers. As soon as the lunchtime peak hit, we were politely but firmly asked to vacate for waiting customers—not offensive, just part of the pace here.
