Semus has many positives, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of less. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, the ingredients are clearly fresh, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices, from breakfast to grilled dishes and traditional Turkish cuisine. The service is also a highlight. Mr. Hakan, in particular, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely professional throughout our visit. Staff like him make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, the food itself is where this restaurant falls short. While everything looked fresh and well presented, the dishes lacked character and depth of flavor. It’s difficult to describe, but it feels as if the food is missing its soul. The seasoning is too timid, the flavors don’t come together, and nothing really stands out or leaves a lasting impression. I’ve visited before, and it also feels like the overall quality has declined over time. Considering the prices they are charging today, I expected a much higher standard. Fresh ingredients alone are not enough if the final result tastes ordinary. It’s a hygienic restaurant with good service and a rich menu, but flavor is what ultimately brings people back.
