Pedir el pato pekin con 48hs de anticipación es un obligado, lo vale 100%. Para nosotros, la mejor entrada fueron las croquetas de langostinos con mayo picante. Went to SENsation again last week, must be my fourth or fifth time now, and I’m still thinking about it days later. Chef Samuel Lee spent a decade at Shang Palace inside the Shangri La before opening this place in the 11th, and every dish still carries that experience with it. I come back to France often and honestly don’t have many restaurants I return to again and again. This is one of the rare ones I never get tired of. I’ve been coming multiple times a year and there’s always something new on the menu, the chef keeps innovating rather than just resting on the classics. The Peking duck is still the reason to book (get it in advance, they need two days notice), crispy skin, tender meat, thin pancakes, the sauce is incredible every single time. The Cantonese small plates are done with real French polish, nothing ever feels like an afterthought. Also have to mention Romin, one of the two proprietors there, the one with glasses. Genuinely one of the warmest hosts I’ve come across, attentive without hovering, funny, makes every visit feel effortless. That kind of service is rare and it’s a huge part of why I keep coming back. Perfect for a special occasion or honestly just because you deserve a good meal. Already looking forward to my next trip back.
