It’s truly hard to imagine finding such a wonderful restaurant in a countryside setting. The food is absolutely delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the service is outstanding. It was a 100% perfect dining experience. I literally had tears in my eyes when I was having the food because I felt so grateful for the fresh ingredients provided by Mother Nature, the dedicated cooking and plating by the chef and the welcoming service by the lady, and also the amazing scenery surrounding the dining table. We had an amazing dining experience at Staple in Biei. It’s tucked away in the middle of quiet farmland, surrounded by beautiful scenery — the kind of place you wouldn’t just stumble upon unless you knew it was there. We were the only customers that day, and it honestly felt like a private dining experience. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and every dish was made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each course was beautifully plated, with a clear focus on balance and natural flavours. The atmosphere was calm and personal, with large windows overlooking the fields — it felt peaceful and intimate, a true hidden gem in Biei.
