Last night sound was not good at the beginning of the evening. Letz Zep was not playing many of the great songs. And sub 89 staff was very pushy to get people out the venue at only gone 10pm. Our friend was pushed out when her Partner was still talking to the band. Not a good experience! You really need to improve!

Sub89 is a lively venue that’s great for gigs and club nights, with an atmosphere that always feels energetic and fun. The sound system is strong and the space is big enough to hold a crowd while still feeling intimate. Drinks are reasonably priced for a music venue and the staff keep things running smoothly at the bar and doors. It can get packed on busy nights but that adds to the vibe, making it a good spot if you’re after live music or a night out in Reading.
