So for you people confused by Le's, now known as Saigon Flavors...The namesake of the restaurant, Mrs. Le, retired. The restaurant is run by relatives of Mrs. Le, some of the same kitchen staff as before. I have run into Mrs. Le and her husband visiting the restaurant in the past year. Yes, I miss the charismatic Mrs. Le, but don't knock Saigon Flavors before you try it. The food is pretty much the same, right down to the special cake dessert. I still love the summer rolls, with their peanut sauce, which in my opinion beats Pho 501's easily. I tried the Jackfruit Smoothie, which proved to be sweet and delicious. The restaurant is featuring smoothies as a nice summertime treat. When the restaurant was renovated, the decor was updated, with little change to the menu. I don't mind the references to Le's that Saigon Flavors retains, as I enjoy this restaurant, no matter what the name. Do give Saigon Flavors a try; it's close to Hartford and a light and delicious meal for summertime or anytime. Don't be surprised if you hit a crowd for lunch, as it's a favorite of the local business crowd. Do try the restaurant for an early dinner, as it seems like no one in East Hartford stays in town after work.
