It was our first beef Wellington and we were already in love. The dish was perfect, the decor was beautiful and the service was great. It was included in our YouTube video as an indication. A find, a little away from the most popular restaurants in Monte Verde. Small, cozy, with a breathtaking view. It is prohibited to go to the site just to take photos. The menu, posted on the wall, has more beer options than dishes, per se... lol Which is totally justifiable, as it would be a sin to step foot in this place and not try the beef Wellington they serve! Don't go in a hurry, as the dish is prepared to order and is worth the wait. Meanwhile, enjoy the scenery (if you go in the late afternoon, even better) drinking a good wine or one of the many beers available. 250 reais a dish, serves two people (very hungry...lol) accompanied by baked potatoes and a simple salad. The preparation execution is perfect! Crispy dough, a generous portion of fillet crumb. It can be felt subtly, but the dijon shown is present; a delicious mushroom paste, surrounded by a layer of raw ham! What a dish! I was at Saint Thomas Becket in July with my wife and we loved it. The restaurant is very small, intimate, with a simple but delicious menu. We ordered the vegetarian "Steak" Wellington and it is very good! We both loved it. Additionally, we tried two English beers, Hobglobin Gold and Session IPA, which were also very tasty. They ask that you make a reservation in advance, and to order the Raclette dish you have to make a reservation some time in advance. The place also has a spectacular view of the mountains.
