Salt & Straw took on venture capital funding and the quality has declined severely. We've been Salt & Straw lovers for 10+ years and it's gone from the best ice cream in maybe the world to disappointing garbage in a matter of months. Save yourself the cash and go get a pint of Ben and Jerry's. The Ben and Jerry's tastes better and costs half as much. It's been a huge heartbreak to watch this change. More specific experiences: - ordering a pint of a seasonal flavor that had no toppings in it (it was just a plain pint of vanilla ice cream despite being labeled for the seasonal) - decline in the quality (taste and texture) of the cookie dough. This pint has been a family favorite for many years and the sudden change in taste made us google what might be going on.
