Recently tried the battered cod and chips from this place, and it was a delight! Generous portions and absolutely delicious. The batter was crispy, the fish was tender, and the chips were just right. Plus, the service was fantastic - definitely recommend giving it a try! Ordered takeaway for a change. Fish very dry and batter gone soft. Chips not too bad. The Balsamic salad was disgraceful. It says mixed leaves. There was one type of leaf with about 6 pieces mini tomatoes (3 cut in half), a small slice of lemon and where was the balsamic vinegar ?? It was non existent. It cost £5.95! there was no more than £1.50 worth of food in the box and bearing in mind there is no cooking cost, it is unbelievably expensive. Wont be doing it again.

Ordered tonight using uber eats. When the order arrived, food was missing. The meal that was missing was for a child. Phoned Salt & Vinegar to let them know and they expected me to come and collect the missing meal??? I chose to order using uber eats for the delivery service, I don’t expect to then have to come out and collect missing food. I was then told they would take my details and they would sort something out for my next visit to the restaurant, how can this be the best solution for my child who was missing their meal??? No offer to arrange to drop the missing meal off as soon as possible. I was advised they would call me back to sort something out and 40 minutes later I am still waiting. Really bad service. First and last time I will be using.
