Samon is a cozy, welcoming izakaya in Kiryu that hits all the right notes. The food is fantastic—flavorful, well-prepared, and perfect for sharing over a drink or three. I really appreciated the separate smoking and non-smoking areas—it makes a big difference! The drink selection is solid, with plenty of sake and shochu to choose from. I only wish they had wine by the glass (just a little grape love, please!). The staff are all kind and attentive, and one of them speaks English, which is a nice bonus for visitors. If you’re in Kiryu and looking for a place to relax with great food and drinks, Samon is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
