We were on a little road trip and found this shop. I ordered a meatball sandwich and my daughter the veggie sub. I was immediately transported to 1976 in Uncle Al's kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. The smell of the gravy permeates everything and the meatball sandwich is sublime. The very best! Lucky Rutland. My visit to The Sandwich Shoppe last year was a fantastic experience. My wife and I had been traveling on a long road trip from Oregon and I have to say this was one of the highlights. We were having a tough day before visiting and had such a wonderful chat with Martha (ray of sunshine) and the food was fantastic. Although I can't easily visit, just knowing the Sandwich Shoppe is out there makes me happy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
