Hands down the best Halal restaurant in Adelaide. Ambiance, service and food are definitely second to none. A bit on the expensive side but worth every penny of it. Adana kabab were melt in mouth. For me the show stopper was Iskender kebab. With butter sizzling spread on top, I can confirm I haven’t ever eaten anything like it. Would be definitely visiting again. Also don’t forget to end your meal with sweet delicacy. We had kunafah and it was just the right amount of sweet with cheese inside. Loved it. “Charcoal, Meat and Absolutely No Carry-On” Rolled into Saray Kebab House chasing one thing: good honest charcoal. No overthinking it, no thirty-seven sauces, no food stacked vertically like it’s applying for planning approval. Just meat, fire, rice and bread. Beautiful. Went the mixed kebab and it absolutely delivered. The chicken was juicy with that proper charcoal edge, the lamb was rich, tender and full of flavour, and the kofta had that seasoned smoky hit you only get when someone behind the grill actually knows what they’re doing. That charcoal flavour runs through everything without overpowering it. Proper flame-kissed meat, cooked with care, not just blasted into submission until it resembles something found behind a Bunnings barbecue. Rice was fluffy, bread was fresh and perfect for grabbing bits of meat like cutlery had temporarily become optional. There’s something bloody satisfying about food like this. Nothing needs a sales pitch. You smell the charcoal, see the grill marks, take one bite and immediately understand the assignment. Friendly service, generous feed and proper traditional flavours. Walked in hungry. Walked out full enough to require a slightly wider turning circle. Saray Kebab House, you’ve got the charcoal game sorted. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
