For almost 15 years, this has been Adrian‘s go-to restaurant for celebrations, commiserations, meeting friends, and bringing out-of-town guests. Many of the recipes are based on those from an Italian chef, and each is comfort food at its best. The lasagna, the salmon, the meatballs, and the chicken piccata are reliably good. But there really isn’t a bad choice on the menu. The entrees and salads are generous in size. The cannoli is made in in-house, and it is very good. Portions are large, and the service is fine. There is a nice pour of the house wines, and there is a good wine list for elevated tastes. Mixed drinks are excellent. In the summer, be sure to dine on the patio, which is full of flowers and atmosphere. It also is quieter than the bustling and often too noisy interior. Families and groups gravitate to the main dining room, but many others prefer the bar area. Possible improvements might be better silverware, cloth napkins, and changing the menus that have plastic covers that would be more appropriate in a diner. I would like to see a switch from those forever foam carryout boxes to something more eco-friendly, like many other places have done. The menu doesn’t change much from year to year, and weekend specials tend to be variations of existing dishes, plus either steak or fish. Some of the menu changes, as in the pizza and french fries, have not always been seen by customers as improvements. The pricing is very fair, though there is just under a 4% surcharge on credit cards. Bread is extra. There is plenty of nearby, free parking. Plan to eat early or late on the days when there is a play at the Croswell. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

First time in. Loved the flowers at the entrance, looks nice. Bigger inside than it looks from the road. All of the food was good but meatballs were very salty. Meatball appetizer + chicken parm + bread basket + 1 beer + 1 sangria + 4% to use credit card + tip = $80. Server was friendly and attentive. Comfortable atmosphere. Would return.
