Went to Sauvage for my birthday with some buddies. Everything was superb; the food, drinks, plating, coursing, tableware, ambiance and the service. Will definitely go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+

We chose Sauvage for our anniversary, and it turned out to be one of the most impressive meals we’ve had in Dallas. It’s an intimate 12-seat chef’s counter serving a prix fixe tasting menu, so this is definitely a place for people who enjoy creativity and putting their trust in the kitchen. Chef Casey LaRue’s take on Texas ingredients, especially through wood fire cooking, feels both thoughtful and original. Every course felt purposeful and there was consistency from start to finish. The technique is clearly there, but nothing feels showy for the sake of it. I’ve eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and this experience genuinely compares. The portions are generous for a tasting menu, the beverage program is well considered, and the entire evening feels focused on the food rather than theatrics.
