THESE REVIEWS WERE NOT EARNED BY THE ASIAN NOODLE BAR!!! This was Savannah Kitchen when I dined in and reviewed this restaurant, and as is the case with many other reviews, I DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE EATING AT WHAT THE PHO RESTAURANT. The owner should be honest and open a new page for this noodle restaurant. The current rating is for the Cajun comfort food restaurant, not the Asian noodle bar. This is dishonest representation. I would never eat at this noodle place, so I am not going to score it high. I'm also not scoring high because they are piggybacking off their prior success. Not cool. Recommended dishes: Jalapeño Poppers

I enjoyed a very flavorful meal at What the Pho, and am looking forward to going back next time I am up in that part of the world. I enjoyed the owner's previous restaurant and was correct in expecting his next venture to be as tasty. The wait staff knew how to be sufficiently attentive without constantly asking for my feedback (a problem I have at many restaurants currently) and interrupting my meal. The location is interesting too. I believe it is located in an old mill that has been converted into residences and businesses. I recommend ordering a pho - tasty and filling but comfortably so. ***THERE ARE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS HERE THAT TASTE GREAT**** I was a dedicated Savanah's Kitchen customer who is pleasantly surprised by the change in menu and atmosphere at what is now WHAT THE PHO! At first I was a little unsure but as amazing as Savanah's Kitchen was it has made way for WHAT THE PHO and it is PHOKING AMAZING! Coming from So Cal my food taste are a little different than many of my counter parts in NE but the town of Newmarket agrees. On the first visit we shared the ROASTED TOFU WITH SPICY PEANUT SAUCE appetizer which was flavorful and crispy. There wasn't an area of tofu that was bland. **Vegetarians at the table approved and recommended** One of us had the CUCUMBER, WATERMELON, PINEAPPLE & SWEET ONION SALAD. The veggies and fruit mixed well with the vinaigrette which was made of basil, coriander, garlic, ginger, dry mustard, lime juice, rice wine vinegar. One would think that it would be an odd combination but again the VEGETARIANS approved and I even ordered it to take home for lunch the next day. The roasted chicken pho HAD SO MUCH FLAVOR. The broth can make or break a Pho restaurant and this place has it nailed down! The chef has perfected the meld of flavors that enter my mouth when I pick up a spoon full of soup. The chicken is cooked to perfection and not over cooked. Yes, it is a little more Americanized than their traditional competitors but in my opinion that's what makes this pho PHUCKING AMAZING! The SEARED JUMBO SHRIMP / roasted chicken broth had plenty of shrimp and the broth was as equally as flavorful as the chicken. The shrimp was perfectly cooked to perfection and lounging amongst the beautiful brown broth. For a person with texture issues I normally have pho restaurants leave the noodles on the side for me and I add them as I need them or after I cut them up. At WHAT THE PHO the noodles are not slimy nor do they stick together in one clump. The noodles at what the pho belong in their broth. They add a certain amount of oomph to the pho that I normally wouldn't get due to my own texture issues. Topping it all off the bartender is still the same amazing cocktail mixologist that I have had the honor of making me a drink. This man has special powers. From the MIDNIGHT IN MANHATTAN girl who likes it on the rocks. THIS MAN CAN MAKE A DRINK. So, if you want PHUCKING amazing PHO and TOP NOTCH DRINKS. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? MAKE A RESERVATION. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes
