Scusate il Ritardo es famoso porque tiene platos de la cocina italiana. Tráete a tus compañeros y disfrutad de sus caseros espaguetis a la carbonara, sus atrayentes espagueti con queso y pimienta y su tierno steak tartar. No hay nada mejor que pedir un perfectamente elaborado tiramisú, un generoso helado o un sorprendente yogur. Este lugar es conocido por su extraordinario limoncello y su estupendo vino blanco. Un gran número de clientes remarcan que puedes probar un recomendable capuchino, un buen café latté o un bien valorado café americano en este lugar.

Desde este lugar tienes unas vistas preciosas. Comprueba por ti mismo lo cordial que es su personal. Una serie de visitantes han notado que el servicio es correcto. Restaurante muy caro, sobre todo las bebidas, cobran un porcentaje por el servicio y encima te piden la propia, demasiado abuso por la situación al lado del Panteón, nada recomendable

Excelente lugar, almorzamos spaghetti alla amatriciana y al pesto espectaculares, servicio muy bueno, lo mejor el tiramisú! una delicia! Almorzar con vista al Panteón no tiene precio.

Dining at Scusate Il Ritardo at waiter Andrea (according to receipt, picture attached) table was my Worst Experience period in the Italy trip, literally the Worst Service (2 star for food, absolutely 0 star for service) During my 2 weeks travel in Italy, I have visited more than 10 restaurants. I understand that it is not rare to discover people taking advantage of tourists. Since I was on vacation, I was trying to be nice and accommodating. However, this waiter Andrea (picture attached) in "Scusate Il Ritardo"/"Ristorante Caffe" restaurant at "Piazza della Rotonda 6, 00186 Rome" is absolutely insolent, disrespectful and intolerable. We had a party of 4. First time the waiter came, but we were still scanning the menu and my wife asked about the classic meat sauce spaghetti. Waiter became very impatient to explain, said "Bolognese" and walked away immediately that we couldn't ask anything else. We actually had few more questions on the dishes, but he ignored and passed by us a few times while we said "excuse me". After quite a while, he came and we asked for some explanation of Italian dishes. He turned to menu page of spaghetti directly and then said "there are different spaghetti dishes". He walked away immediately again. Finally, the waiter came with bottle of water (6 euro) and bread (3 euro). He put them hard and rude on the table, made a gesture of taking orders with shit face. His attitude was even worse after ordering 4 pastas without drinks, but slightly better when I later ordered one more dish. The dishes came and we wanted to take photos all together. Again, our waiter ignored and passed by us a few times. We turned out asked for another waiter's help without any trouble. The food was okay, except the veal scallop which is sloppy and not fresh. After the dishes arrival, the waiter had zero interaction with us and never checked our table condition. Even we finished the meal and asked for check, the waiter just ignored and passed by us. After many "excuse me" and "check please", I tap gently on his upper arm and said "check please" again. He just nodded once and continued ignoring/passed by us. After another 5-10 minutes, he finally brought us a check and literally threw on the table another note pad mentioning "Tips" in 3 languages. He pointed hard at the note pad and said "Tips. Thank you". (Attached) receipt shows 12 dollars of "servizio" had already charged automatically and itemized as "Cibi". It is more than 12% with this bad service. We were very angry and upset that we put a cross and wrote "bad service" on that note pad, instead of a directly complaint/argument right at his face. Again after many "excuse me" and waited for a while, he finally came and saw the note pad. Instead of introspection, he put both his hand on the table hard and warned/threatened us, "Never do this again. Where are you guys from." We didn't answer. Another waiter, who took the photo for us, followed up on the check/payment instead of him. We left the restaurant and took photos of the restaurant from a distance to keep a record. He then came out to the middle of the plaza and threatened us, "Are you taking picture of me?" I said, "We are taking picture of the restaurant". He turned and looked back at us, "Ok?" I asked with his question, "Where are you from?" He said, "It is none of your business!" Well, if he wanted respect, he should have put proper respect at the table!!!!! He was paid for providing a proper service!!!!! We were taking photos openly in a public area and we have the right to take photos at any direction at any time we like! What's the point of threatening us? This is way beyond tolerance and should be reported to tourist authorities!!! We suspect this is about discrimination too!!!
