Salt & pepper chicken & chips box ! Absolutely horrible ! Soaking wet ! Not crispy at all ! Stringy horrible chicken. Soggy chips ! No flavour ! No salt ! Last time I order from here ! It’s really not good. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: £30–40

We tried here because our usual Chinese (star east) have buggered off to china for a month and left us stranded without our usual Friday night Chinese and I can safely say I will happily pay for the star east owners return flights next week to come and cook me a decent Chinese because Shanghai you have let us down honey chilli chicken was vinegary and had the same consistency as a can of tango and the wife’s chow mein was as bland as the tin foil tray it came in. The chips was like a bag of scraps and I know Chinese chips are crap generally but these ones the wife wouldn’t even touch and I’ve seen her eat some shocking chips before. Shanghai please go take some cooking lessons at star east so next time they bugger off I’ve got somebody reliable. Thanks for the effort anyway but it’s a no from this household much love.
