Avoid this Shell. First, they did not shovel or remove the dirty snow at the entrances into the gas station. Car got stuck in the snow and had to keep reversing, forwarding to inch way out of the snowy mess. Probably they would not have helped get the car unstuck. Once freeing the car to enter the gas station, the pumps did not work as far as using the fuel rewards ALT-ID feature at the pump. This gas station wasted time in that bad weather and does not allow or makes it extremely difficult to conveniently use the ALT-ID Shell Fuel rewards feature to stay and pay at the pump. Apparently one has to go inside to pay and they ask you how much gas do you want like one can compute that amount on the spot to fill up the tank if the fuel gauge is at ¼ or just a bit below the half mark. They entice you to enter this gas station with a low price only to get stuck in the massive snow they did not remove to enter the station, then when you are inside the lot at the gas pump, they make it difficult for the customer to use their Fuel Rewards ALT-ID at the pump adding more inconvenience to have to walk inside to perform this type of payment and all that after struggling to get out of the snow pile up at the entrance point. I left and will go to another Shell or BP which has a feature that one can pay at the pump using the Earnify app to unlock the fuel pump and fill up and pay via their BP Fuel Rewards credit card. There is no need to go inside or even press anything on the pump except maybe to choose the fuel type and retrieve a receipt. Shell should consider something like this if it does not trust the customer with their Alt-ID system or if it wants to profile the customer at pump and does not trust that customer who may be profiled causing that customer to have to walk in bad weather into the gas station lobby to activate and pay at or for that pump. This is not how other gas stations work... another Shell later or the next day, the ALT-ID worked in another location and even if the customer still may have been profiled, at least the ALT-ID worked and paid at the pump though after the transaction the receipt had to be retrieved inside or see attendant for receipt message appeared or maybe they ran out of receipt paper due to laziness refilling it. Forget that, the receipt is emailed to Fuel Rewards members but this describes just another inconvenience gas stations like this inflict on otherwise loyal customers.

Stay away.. I put my card into the machine at the pump it took out $100 and something dollars and then it won't let me pump the gas and then you go inside you can't understand a single word what the guy is saying and now you're stuck waiting days to get your money back..if at all I don't even know what happened .. I have $2300+ on my card so it's not a money issue...their system is crap.
