Stupid prices for fuel, then short changed me good job I checked my money bloke said he was stressed but couldn't do simple maths!

I filled my motorcycle tank here this morning and remembered that I had a free coffee with the Shell Card, I asked the chap, Mick, what I need to do. He told me to get a coffee and then give him the receipt from the Costa machine. I did this and then gave him the Shell app where it states free coffee, He told me that it is is not working to which I replied, that is not my fault, so he said I would have to pay for it. I told him I wasnt paying for it and he told me that he would just throw the coffee away. I told him that I was having the coffee as it was not my fault. I requested that he phone the manager and he initially told me that he didnt have one and I insisted that he does have one and then he phoned the manager. He spoke with someone and informed them this ' there is some bloke here who is refusing to pay for a coffee and has told me to get stuffed' it was a blatant lie, as the cctv, if you care to look at it, will show that he was lying. It occurred around 1204 todays date. A rather unpleasant chap, and his customer service skills were zero. who in their right mind would choose to throw away a coffee because the customer who was entitled to have one through the shell app, didnt have the money to pay for one, and because their app was not working. It is my suggestion that he is retrained, if he has had any training at all, on how to be customer friendly. A dreadful experience!
