We took some friends from out of town to Shio and it exceeded everyone’s expectations. We were there for 3 hours, got a ton of food, and tried sake for the first time. It took a long time for our order to get to our table after ordering but the waiter brought out complimentary apps to make up for it. The Korean fried wings were super crispy. The chicken and beef bowls were amazing and the meat was tender The apple sake was great. The hot sake wasn’t for me. The sushi rolls were immaculate. Great taste and presentation. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The restaurant is a bit tucked away, which adds to its calm and relaxing atmosphere. It also feels fairly new, so it may not get as much attention yet—but it’s definitely worth the visit. Service may require a little patience, but the food more than makes up for it. We tried the Mount Fuji roll, which was refreshing and full of well-balanced flavors that paired perfectly with some sake. The Shrimp and Guac roll, however, truly stood out. Its flavor was exceptional, and it’s easily something I’d come back for again and again. Overall, a great spot with a laid-back vibe and dishes that leave a lasting impression.
