An absolute hidden gem and a must-do if you are visiting the Furano/Biei area! My wife and I visited in mid-June and were completely blown away by the experience. The restaurant has a very small, intimate, and private atmosphere. Since we went on a midweek afternoon, we were incredibly lucky to have the dining room to ourselves. This gave us the chance to get to know the owner and chef, who is incredibly kind and welcoming. Even with our limited Japanese, he made a huge effort to connect with us, and we loved learning about how he mixes his Korean background with incredible local Hokkaido ingredients. The food itself is simply amazing—without a doubt Michelin-star level. Every dish was crafted with immense care. As Europeans, we were especially amazed by his culinary skill; he somehow managed to create flavor profiles that felt as warm and comforting as a home-cooked meal back in Europe, while still being entirely unique.
