In the '80s, as a child, we would come to Sizzler (over east) as a family and share great food and great laughs. We would bring games to play at the table and stay way longer than any staff member would have liked.
Over the past few years, since moving to WA, I have visited as often as I could and made new memories and traditions.
These are all so special to me that I'm fighting off tears (unsuccessfully) as I write this.
This weekend alone, I travelled 1000km to visit each of the three Sizzlers over the two days, and not even a blown engine on route was able to stop me.
So it is with the most sincere gratitude, to each and every staff member (especially the manager who pretended to be a secret agent to help us surprise a child with a secret mission) that made all our visits so special, that I say farewell Sizzler. You'll always be in my heart.
Arrived at 920am to a sign on the door saying breakfast was closed for the day due to ‘excessive demand’ half the restaurant was empty. No wonder this joint is closing down.
