I have only discovered this year that we have a chair lift in Palmer with groomed slopes!!!!!!! I have been up to Skeetawk about 7 times this season. Lots of home school kids and families. Lots of older folks. All ages and a wonderful training ground for starters or those looking to get re introduced to the sport after raising a family. Yes it is affordable and 10 miles from Palmer.!!!!. No 3 hour drive more like 10 to 15 min. Even if your bringing your 13 yr old up for asking and snow boarding you can sit in a Yurt ( looks like a round tent on the outside but a gorgeous lodge on the inside.. reminds me of Timberline lodge in Oregon a little. You can crash inside while your kids make great memories with new friends and learn a life long sport they will love along with other new friends. Kids teaching other kids how it's done while you can relax with great coffee and a toasted cream cheese bagel or Pizza Rolls cookies cinnamon buns chips ect. And not only is the scenery out of this world but the staff is the real gold...I kid you not.... they are warm and friendly. The will rent you every thing you need and they know what you need. Just bring your plastic or cash and a great attitude. You will be in for a memorable time. Your kids can ski or snow board while you are working on you less favorable chores like your bills or birthday cards. Parking is free and it's not over priced or overcrowded. I promise your stress level will drop and time will fly bye.

Loved this place till today - manager Nate refused to refund the 3/10/2026 lift ticket. We got here right at 10:30am on the 3/10, after paid the ticket and geared up, everyone was told that the chairlift was broken and they have to close the business. We were also told that they will reach out to the customers who paid tickets for refund. Never did. So today I took the 3/10 tickets to Nate, and asking for refund. He glanced at me and went back to what he was doing, saying nope no refund. We already took care of that issue. I know he was busy so I was standing at the rental place for about 10 minutes explaining he could check my credit card history, and waiting for him. But he didn’t give me any response and just kept skipping me and helping people behind me, telling me he was busy taking care of other clients. So I guess, since I was asking for refund due to your facility broke down, I should be treated not as a customer. I did get another ticket at the end but your poor customer service has ruined my experience and my impression of Skeetwak. Do better job!

We had a great time skiing at Skeetawk last weekend! The snow was great, staff was great, location was great, but the prices stopped us from using the chair lift. My kids only did the magic carpet. We got there about 1:30 pm and it cost $90 to have my 7 yr old and 4 yr old rent skis, and only ski the magic carpet. They close at 4:30, so they did 3 hours/ a half day for $90. It would be nice if they offered half day rates, I would have skied and got chair lift passes! Chair lift passes are $44 for adult, $25 for 7 year old, 4 yr old- free, so my total for 3 hours of skiing with 2 kids would have been $159 Please consider half day rates! For ski rentals and passes!
